Anyone interested in trying out for the MJH football team should be prepared to stay after school on Monday, August 8 until 5:00pm while we finish outfitting everyone with equipment. After the distribution of equipment, we will sit down and go over a few very important topics such as the fundamentals of tackling and heat and hydration. EVERY PLAYER NEEDS TO HEAR THIS INFORMATION PRIOR TO TRYOUTS!
TRYOUTS BEGIN AUGUST 9, 2011
As of today (August 8, 2011) Tryouts will go from Tuesday, August 9 - Thursday, August 11. We will use Saturday, August 13 if needed. The team will be posted on Monday, August 15. ALL PRACTICES END AT 5:00pm.
Any player wishing to use their own equipment (helmet, shoulder pads, pants, girdles, etc.) may due so provided the equipment fits and protects properly. All helmets must be NOCSAE approved (look for symbol on the back of helmet).

Game films are available for purchase for $15.00 per game; or $90.00 for the entire season. Checks should be made payable to "fifteen minutes of fame". Contact me for more information.
New EXTREME HEAT POLICY introduced for Junior High and High School Athletics.
The Parish has instituted a new extreme heat policy that mandates that at any time the heat index reaches 109, all practice sessions must shut down or adapted (i.e. practice in gym; walk through in shorts and T-shirt, etc.)
